About

This is Yunxiao (Jack) Zhang. I am a Master’s student in Visualization in Science at Texas A&M University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Fudan University, where I built strong fundamentals in programming, algorithms, and systems thinking.

At Texas A&M, I pursued an M.S. in Visualization, emphasizing design and applied visual communication. Through coursework in animation, modeling, and visual storytelling, I developed the ability to translate technical ideas into clear visuals and compelling narratives.

"My long-term vision is to make sports as explorable as esports: a viewer should be able to revisit any moment of a match from any viewpoint."

Time-Archival Camera Virtualization for Sports and Visual Performance

We introduce time-archival camera virtualization for dynamic sports and stage performances. Given a set of calibrated, static multi-view cameras, our method synthesizes photorealistic novel views while maintaining spatial and temporal coherence. Unlike dynamic 3D Gaussian Splatting pipelines that often depend on accurate SfM point clouds and can break under fast, non-rigid, multi-subject motion, we revisit a neural volume rendering formulation tailored for replay and archival. A key feature is time-archival: users can revisit any past moment and render it from new viewpoints for replay, analysis, and long-term storage. Experiments on benchmarks and new datasets show improved quality over 4DGS baselines.

Let's build together.

Open to opportunities and interesting conversations.
